SmartBank announces addition of Branch Manager and Credit Administration Officer

PIGEON FORGE, TN (July 1, 2009) – SmartBank has announced the addition of its newest team members, Debbie Holp and Derek Carrier. Debbie joined the team as the Pigeon Forge Branch Manager and Derek Carrier will serve as the Bank’s Credit Administration Officer. “Both of these individuals have many years of experience in the financial industry and demonstrate the qualities and values that fit the SmartBank image. We are pleased to have them join the SmartBank team.” said SmartBank President and CEO, Billy Carroll.

Debbie Holp has 30 years of banking experience and has held a variety of positions during her banking career including Financial Sales Representative, Business Development Officer, Marketing Officer and Bookkeeping Manager. Most of Debbie’s banking career was spent with a regional bank and most recently as a Vice President, Branch Manager. Debbie and her husband, Rodney have 3 children and are long-time members of East Maryville Baptist Church and reside in Seymour.

Derek Carrier joined the SmartBank lending team and will serve as Credit Administration Officer. Derek has many years of experience in the industry including over 20 years with the Department of Financial Institutions with the State of Tennessee.
